A Family Heritage
since 1946

Thank you for visiting us. we are an apple grower, packer, and shipper in milton-freewater, oregon, providing quality apples on the international marketplace, across the U.S., and right here in our local neighborhood to our family and friends.

Our apples are grown in what is called “The Rocks District” of Milton-Freewater. The rocks in the soil provide extra flavor to the fruit. This cobbled soil is becoming famous for its intensity of wine flavor that it produces, however, this intensity is seen in any produce grown in The Rocks District.

The farm

The Ron LeFore Apple Farm began in 1947 when Ron LeFore’s dad and mom planted their first tree. Ron remembers digging holes by hand for these trees and so it began.

Our Apples

From the beginning of our business, Red and Golden Delicious were the foundation and still remain strong especially for the export market. The Gala, Granny Smith, and Fuji were added to the family and most recently - the Honeycrisp. The Gala is an all-around eating and cooking apple with great flavor. The Granny Smith, while amazing for cooking, is super sour for those who like to “pucker”, while the Fuji is by far the sweetest apple on the market. The Honeycrisp is just what its name implies - super crisp with a sweet/tart surprise.

The Fruit Stand

Starting in September, we open up our fruit stand to the local community. We offer our “2nd’s” by the 42-45 pound box for those who need apples in bulk to cook with, preserve, juice, dry or eat fresh.

buy online

For those who are local and would like to purchase online and come to our “pick-up” day, or those who would like to have farm fresh apples at a “better than store price” shipped right to their front door, our online store is for you. We sell through our family’s online store - A Farm+House Market.
